Photography found me through my own kids. My son is four, my daughter is eighteen months, and the photos of them I keep going back to are never the posed ones. They're the in-between ones: mid-laugh, cake on someone's face, nanna up dancing.
That's what I photograph for other families now. Family portraits, birthdays, naming ceremonies, festival nights, the big functions where everyone shows up. The job is always the same: turn up, blend in, and catch the day the way it actually felt.
When I'm not photographing someone else's family, I'm hanging out with mine, usually at a park somewhere in Melbourne's west.

I don't do "say cheese." I wait for the real grins, and they always come.
Kids treat me like the fun uncle. Parents treat me like a mate. Both are correct.
I live in Melbourne's west, so I know the parks, the light and the shortcuts. No travel fees in Wyndham, no scouting time on your bill.

Big, loud family days don't rattle me. The busier the room, the better the photos.
I hold a current Working with Children Check, and your gallery stays private and password-protected.
